We had a geat time with Living Social Adventures and a Low Country Boil on Friday night. Hope Sonam graced us with her presence and incredible talent. Thanks to Zest Atlanta for providing a beyond-amazing low country boil. Be on the lookout for more Red Hare deals from Living Social in the coming weeks.
This week, you won’t see the Oktoberfest available at the brewery for tastings – fear not, it will return when the next batch is available, in about two weeks.
We may deal with a little tropical rain this week, but it’s safe and dry inside the brewery! Friday, enjoy the songs of Stephanie Caron. Saturday, we get really excited about the start of college football season – come on out for the Red Hare Tailgate party! Support your team by wearing your best fan gear and get a $2 discount on your pint glass. Christo’s Pizza will be on hand, serving up some of Marietta’s best pizza, and we’re thrilled to present Taylor Mullins on the Red Hare stage.
Something to put on your calendar – tours/tasting hours for Saturday will change starting on October 6, we’ll be open from 2-4 pm to take advantage of the shorter days. Same hare channel, just a different hare time for Saturday. 
We have passed a true milestone – one year in business!! If you made it out for our Anniversary Party, you know what a fun time was had by all! We also released Rabbit’s Reserve #4: Oktoberfest on the same day. This copper colored brew is set to start distribution across Atlanta this week. Thanks again to everyone who has had a Red Hare brew over the past year and supported our Marietta brewery!
Otherwise this week, on Thursday, we’re the featured beer at a Summer Beer Dinner at Marlow’s Tavern in Kennesaw – tickets are $35 Per Person Tax and Gratuity Not Included. Please make reservations by August 21 by calling (770) 425-8777.
Also Thursday, we’re part of Beer Connoisseur’s Southern Sampler at 5 Seasons Westside –6-10 pm. Come out to meet representatives from all Georgia breweries and select other Southern breweries. Tickets are $20 and available online at: www.xorbia.com

What a great weekend at Red Hare – Friday, August 10, all cash from the door was donated to help with medical expenses for the daughter of one of our salespeople who is dealing with a spinal infection and associated complications – we donated $1,400 to help out – thanks to everyone who showed up to help!
This week, we’re getting ready for what we think might be our biggest party yet – Saturday, August 18, we’ll celebrate our First Anniversary and the release of Rabbit’s Reserve #4: Oktoberfest. Doors open at 3:30 pm – and the party goes on until 5:30 pm. DBA Barbecue will be here with juicy BBQ and a selection of popsicles. Atlanta band Wrong Way will rock the party with a Sublime tribute. Kids and dogs are always welcome!
What about the new beer? It’ll be a 6% copper gem, malty and yummy. There will also be a cask! Remember Rabbit’s Reserve #2: Imperial Red IPA? We’ll tap a dry hopped cask of that ruby red dream – will there be other surprises? Come find out!
Not able to make it to the party? We have not one, but TWO, after parties planned – after the kegs have been emptied at the brewery, make your way over to Wild Wings in Marietta or Johnny MacCracken’s Celtic Firehouse Pub to grab a pint of Oktoberfest or our other brews! The festivities are sure to last for a while!

Andi Warner is one of our amazing salespeople and she needs your help! Her 20-month old daughter Ellie has encountered an unexpected spinal illness, already resulting in multiple surgeries and a serious Staph infection.
THIS FRIDAY, August 10th, ALL cash collected at the door to the tasting room will be donated directly to Andi to help with medical expenses. Doors open @ 5:30pm! Remember your souvenir glass for beer tasting is just $10, which comes with six tickets for sampling beer. Enjoy the beer, a brewery tour, and know that you are making a difference in someone’s life!
It’s been kinda quiet around the ol’ brewery, with the exception of the clanking of cans and clicking of the canning machine as we continue to put Long Day Lager into cans. We do plan on canning our other two year round brews, no set dates yet.
August 18 – the rabbit celebrates a First Birthday! Come out at 3:30 pm for a First Anniversary Party – complete with live music from Wrong Way and yummy eats from DBA Barbecue. We’ll also release Rabbit’s Reserve #4: Oktoberfest and you know what that means – we’ll have the smaller hourglass shaped glasses with the red rabbit! Rumor has it a cask of Rabbit’s Reserve #2: Imperial Red IPA was found in the depths of the cooler – join us as we tap this hoppy treat!

We’re enjoying the calm before the storm we we get ready for our First Anniversary party on August 18. This copper-hued brew is a traditional Marzen, and we really think you’ll enjoy it. If you were a fan of RR#2: Imperial Red IPA, you may want to get in line early, we’ll have a dry hopped cask of it for you!
If you missed the news, Red Hare Brewing was among the medal winners at the 2012 US Open Beer Championship! We took a gold medal for our Saison in the Belgian/French Saison category. We congratulate the other Georgia craft breweries that also took home medals – Monday Night, Terrapin and Sweetwater!
