This is where it all started. Well, after the two experiments in the kitchen. After deciding to go all grain after our first batch, we bought in to the equipment that we now boast in Roger’s basement. A shiny 15 gallon brew pot, a 10 gallon hot liquor vessel, glass carboy, various hoses and what not are just a few things we’ve collected in our underground brewery. We even made our own mash tun out of a Home Depot water cooler and a bunch of copper fittings/pipe that we soldered together. At about 25 batches and one year later, we’re on the way to starting the real thing.

A special thanks goes out to those who have contributed equipment to our little endeavor.
Thanks to Bruce Thomas for giving up a large gas fired stand. Something that was once used for fish fry’s, we now use as part of our gravity fed system.
Also thanks to Forrest Sutton for submitting his start up kit- we’ve used the glass carboy many times over.
Hope you guys have enjoyed the brews we’ve tested on you both over the past year.
